This custom engineered and designed Epicure Digital Centra Menu System is integrated with the CBORD Foodservice Suite® and is based on the USDA K-12 MyPlate Menu system that groups menu items by MyPlate food groups.
It replaced Exeter’s original manual-entry Epicure Digital Classic Menu System. It is installed in the Elm Street Dining Hall on one 55” LCD Information Board and four 43” LCD Menu Boards; in the Wetherell Dining Hall on one 50” LCD Menu Board; and in the Grill on three 40” LCD Menu Boards.
All of the Menu Boards use the same Master Template. Menus automatically display by meal period on a 28-day menu cycle and include Go, Slow, Whoa nutritional menu labeling icons; vegetarian and vegan icons, and allergen alert icons for foods that contain dairy, soy, wheat, egg, tree nuts and peanuts, and gluten.
The Information Board includes the day’s Room Assignments, Calendar of Events, slide shows with and without captions, live news, sports and weather feeds, and the dining halls’ hours of operation.
"As a client of Epicure Digital for over ten years, Phillips Exeter Academy's partnership with Harvey and his team can best be described as seamless, beginning with conversations on goals and aspirations on creating menu board content for multiple operations to walking us through CBORD integration, establishing allergen information and additional programming that enables us to communicate with our community. Rarely, have we found ourselves dealing with concerns or issues over the years with technology. Instead, Epicure Digital, Dining and our IT department can focus on adding features and upgrades that continue to elevate the dining experience for our customers, most recently being ION, their Interactive Online Nutrition System that our Dietician has employed."
